Jerry Jones may have threatened Dallas sports radio hosts with their jobs, but that won’t stop them from asking the tough questions about deez nuts.
Jones joined 105.3 The Fan in Dallas Tuesday morning for his weekly radio segment with hosts Shan Shariff and RJ Choppy. And during the interview, Jones was asked about Cowboys safety Trevon Diggs confronting a reporter Sunday night.
The reporter, Mike Leslie of WFAA, seemingly questioned Diggs’ effort on a long reception for San Francisco 49ers tight end George Kittle. After the game, Diggs approached a group of reporters to question Leslie over his implication. While the exchange lacked substance, it ended with Diggs saying, “talk about deez nuts.” And Tuesday morning, Shariff asked Jones to talk about deez nuts.

“Are you familiar at all with deez nuts?” Shariff asked.
“In that context, no. I’d have to hear it said in context,” Jones said before hinting that he knew about deez nuts. “If you want to know what it looks like, I’m sitting here with a half-smirk.”
And with that, Jones enjoyed a good laugh with the Dallas sports radio hosts. The same Dallas sports radio hosts that Jones threatened to have fired two weeks ago because he didn’t like them asking questions about his roster decisions with the Cowboys.
Jones received a horde of backlash for that exchange, with Shannon Sharpe even believing the threat would discourage Shariff or anyone else interviewing the Cowboys owner from asking another tough question. Two weeks later, Shariff answered the call and proved he’s still willing to ask Jones the tough questions. Questions about deez nuts.
