While a lot of the ManningCast discussion revolves around Peyton Manning, his brother and co-host Eli often has some of the funnier moments. That was certainly the case on Monday night’s alternate broadcast for the Monday Night Football game between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
In particular, in overtime after the Chiefs scored a touchdown to clinch a 30-24 win, Eli did a headstand. And that worried guest Jason Sudeikis (who returned for overtime after previously appearing on the show during regulation):
Sudeikis’ “Oh, geez! Careful, dude!” reaction sums this up well. It was quite the remarkable moment from Eli. But hey, earlier in the broadcast, he spoke to Peyton and guest Maria Taylor (tongue-in-cheek) about how he taught former teammate Saquon Barkley how to do the backwards hurdle that had the NFL buzzing Sunday:
Once again, Eli has proven to be a key part of the ManningCast. And it’s notable that his production efforts have also seen some of this lighter approach, from his own undercover stint as “Chad Powers” (now set to be a Hulu series!) to his Eli Manning Presents: The Undercovers series along those lines (which started with Bucs’ QB Baker Mayfield). He certainly was an entertaining part of Monday’s broadcast.
