Blue Wire’s network of podcasts is continuing to grow.
Five months after announcing deals to host Cam Newton, Lou Williams and J.R. Smith’s shows, Awful Announcing has learned that Blue Wire is now partnering with The 33rd Team, the NFL website that boasts an impressive roster of former (and current) players and coaches. The partnership will see The 33rd Team’s shows — including St. Brown Podcast featuring Amon-Ra and Equanimeous St. Brown, Check The Mic with Steve Palazzolo & Sam Monson and NFL Spotlight with Ari Meirov — come under Blue Wire’s umbrella.
“Our goal is to build a top-notch slate of programming for all football fans,” Mark Romagnoli, COO of The 33rd Team, said in a statement. “We felt partnering with Blue Wire was a home run, given their deep industry roots and the incredible lineup of football content they’ve brought together.”
Blue Wire’s partnership with The 33rd Team is certainly interesting and appears to be similar to the podcast network’s deal with the Field of 68 college basketball media network. The addition of the St. Brown Podcast is especially notable as it features one of the NFL’s best active wide receivers in Detroit Lions star Amon-Ra St. Brown.
In addition to its partnership with The 33rd Team, Awful Announcing has also learned that Blue Wire is adding seven other new shows, including one hosted by former NBA All-Star point guard Mike Bibby and one hosted by NFL analyst Warren Sharp. The full list of Blue Wire’s latest additions consists of:
- Bootleg Football, hosted by Brett Kollmann and E.J. Snyder
- Sharp Football Analysis by Warren Sharp
- Just Win, a Raiders podcast hosted by Vic Tafur, Tashan Reed, and Ted Nguyen
- Seahawks Forever hosted by Dan Viens
- Ovies & Giglio, covering all North Carolina sports
- Straight Game, featuring Mike Bibby, Eddie House, and Ty Ellis.
- Game Theory Podcast, an NBA and college basketball podcast hosted by Sam Vecenie
- JustBallin, a popular YouTube channel and podcast.
- Talk’n Shop, a pro wrestling podcast hosted by WWE stars Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows
According to Blue Wire, it now lays claim to 215 total podcasts.
