The Rich Eisen Podcast Network is expanding further. Beyond the podcast for Eisen’s titular radio show, that network (distributed, marketed, and monetized by Cumulus Media) also features NFL-specific podcast Overreaction Monday with Eisen and Chris Brockman and What The Football with Suzy Shuster and Amy Trask. And now, they’re adding two new podcasts. Those would be No-Contest Wrestling and The Jim Jackson Show.
No-Contest Wrestling will be hosted by actor O’Shea Jackson Jr. (son of recording artist and BIG3 co-founder Ice Cube) and Rich Eisen Show producer TJ Jefferson. Its first episode drops Wednesday, featuring an interview with WWE’s CM Punk. The Jim Jackson Show will feature former NCAA and NBA player and current broadcaster (for Fox, TNT Sports, NBA TV, and Westwood One) Jim Jackson talking about college and pro basketball, business, life, and more, and interviewing prominent guests, starting with an interview with TNT Sports analyst Charles Barkley on its first episode Thursday. Here’s a quote on that from Eisen from a release:
“I’ve been in a constant search for new, fresh, thought-provoking, and entertaining voices to add to our growing podcast business, and I’m thrilled to add both O’Shea Jackson, Jr. and Jim Jackson to the roster,” said Rich Eisen, owner and CEO of Rich Eisen Productions. “We’ve doubled our number of podcasts. And Jacksons.”
It’s notable to see Eisen continue to expand his podcast network, and to bring in some more outside faces. Eisen’s titular show and its podcast obviously is well-established, but both Overreaction Monday and What The Football have drawn attention and plaudits since their launches last summer. We’ll see how well No-Contest Wrestling and The Jim Jackson Show add to that lineup.
