An ad was behind home plate for Game 1 of the World Series between the Dodgers and Astros in Los Angeles, and it annoyed many viewers. However, YouTube likely got a good laugh out of it.
The ad was for YouTubeTV, and made it appear to the viewer like the Fox broadcast was a YouTube video, with the red YouTube play button placed in the middle of the screen.
This is excellent advertising — and trolling — by YouTube:
It also led to some excellent trolling on Twitter (I fell for this one).
Oh, man, you absoultely have to stop what you're doing right now and watch this video. pic.twitter.com/l44kJoi208

And it especially led to many fans on Twitter complaining about the distraction:

Is the YouTube logo behind home plate annoying anyone else? #WorldSeries
