Fox shatters Indy 500 viewership marks in first year airing race

The network set a 17-year high in viewership.

Tom Brady did not get a warm welcome from fans in the grandstands in his first appearance at the Indy 500 with Fox Sports.

"Please never let Fox broadcast the Indy 500 again."

Coverage will begin Friday at 2 p.m. ET on Fox Sports platforms.

The network has not been shy about utilizing Brady to promote the racing circuit.

“Kyle’s double attempt is one of the most exciting storylines in all of sports, and we’re thrilled to be part of it."

NBC cut to a lengthy commercial break during its Indy 500 broadcast after losing its signal during severe weather.

"I remember specifically that the word ‘tragedy’ was being used a lot and I didn’t see it that way. That was an atrocity."

"We … are prepared to take every measure possible to protect our brand's intellectual property."

"We're rolling deep, and those cars are going real fast and real left, son!"
