Dressing up as your friends on Halloween is a time-honored bit that, quite frankly, is always a crowd pleaser. But perhaps it’s a crowd pleaser best kept among friends in the relative privacy of your own Halloween gatherings.
The cast of Inside the NFL decided they’d take their costumes public this year, and you might not be able to unsee Ryan Clark’s hyper-realistic interpretation of Bill Belichick.
“No matter how I’m dressed, here at Inside the NFL, you just do your job,” Clark, errrrm, Belichick began. “And so I’m the only coach on the set today. So what is Bill Belichick going to be?” You guessed it. Bill Belichick dressed up as…Ryan Clark!
Now, I’m certainly not one to cast aspersions on someone’s appearance. But let’s just say that Belichick’s costume was a little easier on the eyes than Clark’s full-face Belichick mask. The former Patriots head coach came out in a dapper looking sports coat with a few too many buttons, an RC classic. Thankfully, it wasn’t disturbing to look at like his counterpart.
The fun didn’t stop there for the Inside crew. Chris Long, rather hysterically, came out as Chad “Ochocincoseis,” with a Philadelphia Eagles jersey numbered 856. (We won’t talk about how Clark botched the enunciation of the Spanish word for six.)
Then, the grand finale! Chad Johnson appearing as Chris Long with luscious gold locks and a tin of Zyn to boot.
Credit to Inside the NFL for the creativity with this one. But I think we can all agree, we can keep the Bill Belichick costume in the closet for next year.
