The closing week of the regular season/championship weekend in college football means that it’s time for teams to make their final case to the College Football Playoff selection committee for their inclusion in football’s Final Four. While schools like Oregon, Alabama, and Florida State are likely “win and in” that fourth playoff spot might come down to some combination of TCU, Baylor, and Ohio State. Especially in the Big 12, it’s quite complicated as TCU seemingly has the edge over the Bears in spite of Baylor’s head-to-head win.
Well, the Bears are going to be proactive in trying to change the committee’s mind. Because if there’s one thing this messed up world of college football politicking needs… it’s lobbyists!
Can you imagine some person from this PR firm just randomly showing up at the Arkansas athletic offices and asking to take Jeff Long out to lunch? This development can’t be all thaaat bad, I mean, lobbyists have done great work in making our government more accountable and efficient… right?
