Last night, during the Memphis Grizzlies 119-93 win over Houston, Justin Timberlake sent a simple tweet of support that led some poor sap to question the legitimacy of Timberlake’s fandom. The result was a decisive take down:
“@JamesStendebach: "@jtimberlake: Grizzlies."
Bandwagon.”
Uh… I'm from Memphis and I'm an owner. Anyone else? #WigSnatch
— Justin Timberlake (@jtimberlake) November 18, 2014
Timberlake’s response is swift and perfect, and we have to appreciate that he’s a true fan, versus, say Justin Bieber who will wear any jersey at any time without any discretion. Which is why you should run if you see Bieber plugging your team.
Anyway.
If you check out this dude James’ timeline, you can tell he’s clearly enjoying his 15 minutes. But the lesson here is simple – don’t challenge Justin Timberlake on Twitter about his Grizzlies fandom. You’ll clearly lose.
