After LSU’s dominant 41-3 win over Kentucky, Tigers head coach Les Miles was asked if he and offensive coordinator Cam Cameron had thought about who would start at quarterback next season. As most of you will know, coaches don’t like to deal in the hypothetical. LSU still has four games this season to play with the current options at quarterback.
While most coaches – Nick Saban, for instance – would blast a reporter for a question like that, Miles answers in a much calmer, much more sarcastic way.
“We’re going to have to play that position next year, too?” Miles asks. “Damn. Thought we were going to get away with it. Shit.”
He then gives the reporter a wry smile and a wink then says, “Yeah, we’re probably going to give some thought to that sometime.”
This serves as further proof that a Miles press conference is a much happier environment than many others.
