The Chicago Sky suffered a pretty disappointing loss on Friday night, falling to the Washington Mystics, who have the worst record in the WNBA. And head coach Teresa Weatherspoon seemed to allow the frustration from the loss to boil over into her postgame press conference.
After the game, Weatherspoon was visibly frustrated at multiple points throughout her press conference, but one question from a reporter seemed to send her over the edge.
“This next stretch of games against the Fever and the Wings, how are you going to use this as a measuring stick to assess whether or not maybe some changes need to happen?” the reporter asked Weatherspoon.

Weatherspoon was clearly not a fan of the question as she slammed her hands against the table in response and angrily walked away from the press conference without offering an answer.
The frustration is understandable for the first-year head coach as her team is now in the midst of a three-game losing streak highlighted by a loss to the worst team in the league. Still, it wasn’t exactly a great response to an entirely fair and relatively innocuous question from the reporter.
The Sky will try to bounce back from the loss with a showdown against Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.
