During the halftime show of the WNBA All-Star Game, Elle Duncan found a colorful way to sum up the game’s lack of defense.

With Team Collier leading Team Clark 82-60 after two quarters, one way of summing up the first half would be to point out that as is the case in most All-Star Games, the players aren’t making defense a top priority. Duncan summed the first half up in another way, and it was a lot more colorful.

While looking ahead to the second half with Andraya Carter and Chiney Ogwumike, Duncan found some creative phrasing for the high scoring.

“We hope it gets a little bit more competitive,” Duncan said. “Because like a girls trip to Cancun, right now, there’s no D.”

“It’s a 22-point game for Team Collier — that’s a walk-off,” Duncan added.

That’s one way of putting it.

As the broadcast was going to a commercial break, Duncan continued to recap the first half while showing a four-point shot made by three-point contest champion Sabrina Ionescu.

Then, Ogwumike offered her response.

“Elle, you’re in timeout. You’re done.”
